Gillian Ho is a rising junior at Columbia College majoring in Classical Studies and Political Science. Born in Hong Kong and shipped off to London at 11 years old, she began competing and staffing Model UN conferences in high school. She is a member of Columbia’s Travel Team and has directed committees at CIRCA’s various conferences. After serving as a chair and USG of Committees for CMUNNY, she is excited to welcome all delegates to this year’s conference on Columbia’s beautiful campus. Outside of Model UN, Gillian is a member of Alpha Chi Omega and an executive board member of CIRCA.
If lost, she can be found downing cappuccinos inside Butler Library or fangirling about every Classical author inscribed on its architrave. Alternatively, you can reach her at email@example.com.
Reema Danaf is a rising senior in the School of General Studies majoring in Political Science and minoring in Women’s and Gender Studies. As a student in the Dual BA Program with Sciences Po, Reema spent her first two years of college in Reims, France. Born in Toronto and raised in New Hampshire, she is incredibly excited to welcome delegates to her favorite city, New York! Reema has participated in Model UN as a delegate, conference staffer, and organizer since her sophomore year of high school. In her free time, she enjoys finding new television shows to binge, tasting all of the food that the city has to offer, and pretending to be a real New Yorker.
Reema can always be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org, and can’t wait to meet the delegates during a sure-to-be lively conference weekend!
Chief of Staff
Stephanie Choi is a rising junior in Columbia College studying Political Science and East Asian Studies. Born in New York City, she has spent her life in multiple cities in the United States and South Korea, but likes to call Alabama her home. Aside from CMUNNY, she gives campus tours as a part of the Undergraduate Recruitment Committee and is on the board of CU Liberty in North Korea and the Journal of Politics & Society. In her free time, she can be found watching Food Network while working out, searching for the best coffee in the city, or napping in her room.
Feel free to reach out to Stephanie with any questions at email@example.com.
Chief of Operations
Ezra Schwarzbaum is a rising junior in Columbia College studying Economics and Political Science. Ezra began participating in Model UN back in high school because the upperclassman who drove him to school in the morning did it, but it quickly became one of his favorite extracurricular activities. Ezra recently directed a hybrid-JCC for CMUNCE—CMUNNY's sister conference—and is a member of Columbia's travel team. In his free time, Ezra can be found at a jazz bar, teaching himself to cook, or trying to figure out what he forgot to do that led to having free time in the first place.
Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Robin Cheng is a rising sophomore at Columbia College, and is delighted to be serving as a USG of Committees for CMUNNY XIII. Like Gillian, she grew up in Hong Kong and went to high school in London and considers both cities as home. She has always considered the international Model UN community as a “home” and was therefore excited to grow closer to her new CMUNNY family, be it secretariat, staffers, or delegates. Outside of Model UN, she loves art, photography and taking road trips.
You can reach Robin at email@example.com.
Maddy Culpepper is a rising sophomore at Barnard College, who has been participating in MUN since her junior year of high school. As a history major she loves the perspective that MUN can bring to important times of crisis or past decision-making. She is especially passionate about American 19th century political history and the American Civil War. When she’s not in the Big Apple she is at home in Stamford, Connecticut, desperately trying to train her two new birds, Babs and Basil, or baking bread for her family. Maddy is very excited to welcome the delegates to CMUNNY XIII and encourages them to think creatively and gain new perspectives on the issues facing our world today.
You can reach Maddy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Katharina Focke is a rising senior in the Dual BA Program between Columbia University and Sciences Po, with one degree in Political Science with a focus in law and currently majoring in Economics-Political Science. This is her 6th year of doing MUN specializing in crisis committees, since where else can you bribe the staff to give you snacks in exchange for information? On a personal note, she is originally from Germany (hence why she is a stickler for punctuality) and grew up in Connecticut. In her spare time, she ballroom dances with the Columbia Ballroom Team. She is excited to welcome delegates in September and hopes to make it an enjoyable experience for everyone!
You can reach Katharina at email@example.com.
Christopher Philogene is a rising sophomore in Columbia College planning to major in Economics and Political Science. He enjoys going to classes, doing his homework and the occasional good night's rest. He is a member of Engineers Without Borders as well as the Columbia Model United Nations travel team, which takes up most of his time when he isn't going to classes, doing his homework and getting the occasional good night's rest. He's really excited to run CMUNNY XIII, and looks forward to planning an enjoyable conference for everyone!
You can reach Christopher at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Rachael Whitley is a rising sophomore in Barnard College double majoring in Psychology and Economics, with a concentration in Political Economy. Rachael first became involved in Model UN her freshman year of high school, and in addition to CMUNNY XIII, staffs various CIRCA conferences and competes on MUN Travel Team here at Columbia. When MUN isn’t consuming her life, Rachael is also a part of the King’s Crowne Shakespeare Troupe, Columbia’s Engineers Without Borders Uganda Chapter, and the Columbia Ski and Snowboard Team. After six years of Model UN experience she is thrilled to be a part of the CMUNNY XIII Secretariat and meet all of you in September!

Victoria Hou is a rising sophomore in Columbia College from the San Francisco Bay Area. She has been involved with Model UN since junior year of high school when she founded her school's first Model UN team. Besides being the USG of Public Relations, she has staffed committees for CESIMS, CIRCA's non-profit high school conference. Outside of CIRCA, Victoria serves as the graphic designer for Columbia College Student Council and gives prospective students tours. Though she loves New York and all it has to offer, she misses reasonably priced boba and actually seeing the sun. She's excited to welcome you to CMUNNY!

Julienne is a rising sophomore in Columbia College studying Political Science on a Pre-Medical track. She enjoys spending time with her MUN family by participating on Columbia’s MUN Competition Travel Team and by chairing various committees. Outside of MUN, she serves on the Executive Board for Columbia’s Students for Human Rights Organization and is a member of the Global Health Education Campaign Team for Columbia’s GlobeMed Chapter. Throughout the week, she enjoys giving tours as a member of the Undergraduate Recruitment committee. She looks forward to welcoming everyone to a successful CMUNNY XIII!

Kevin Xiong is a rising junior in Columbia College from San Diego majoring in Computer Science. Having started the Model UN club at his high school as a sophomore, he joined CIRCA at Columbia and has staffed multiple conferences, most recently crisis directing the Hong Kong Reunification JCC at CMUNCE, CMUNNY’s sister conference. Outside of Model UN, Kevin is a brother of Phi Gamma Delta and can usually be found complaining about New York’s “subpar” weather and lack of burritos. He is excited to serve on CMUNNY XIII’s Secretariat and hopes that all delegates will enjoy the conference in September.
Feel free to reach out to him with any questions or concerns at firstname.lastname@example.org.
