The year is 45 B.C., and fresh from his victory over Pompey in the Civil Wars, Caesar has been left master of the Roman world. His reward? Countless uprisings and widespread civil unrest, coupled with the ever-present threat of foreign invasion, magnified in the wake of years of internal Roman strife. Caesar, along with notable leaders of the day, must deftly navigate the treacherous terrain of war, political intrigue, and anti-revolution as he attempts to dramatically reform the empire.
