Become belligerent as Saddam Hussein uses chemical weapons to destroy the city of Halabja in Kurdish Northern Iraq. Gnash your teeth with rage as Iran continues its “Holy War” against Kurdish people. Your people throughout Greater Kurdistan have been repressed throughout history. Now, in 1993, will you finally be able to break free?

Ben Freeman is a Turkophile. This baglama-playing, lokum-eating, salep-drinking Columbian looks forward to discussing the Turkish-Kurdish conflict from a rather explosive perspective.

Mesut Gul is a Turkish-Kurdish Columbian that developed the idea of the committee and wanted to create a platform to discuss the Kurdish problem in the region. Coming from the Kurdistan region of Turkey, he is a specialist on the issue with the knowledge of Kurdish culture, language, problem and its sources. Wishing to tackle the issue with a different perspective he can't wait to be a part of CMUNNY '09 PKK Central Committee.
