Overview

Located in midtown right across the street from New York Penn Station, the Hotel Pennsylvania is an affordable option with great access to all that the city has to offer. While all conference events will be held either on-campus or at social venues throughout the city, we hope that by designating the Pennsylvania as our primary hotel, delegations might live in greater proximity, providing more opportunities for networking and interaction.

Booking Details
Please book no later than September 4th. No deposit is required, but credit card information is necessary to hold room reservations. Rooms will be charged approximately 72 hours prior to arrival, but delegations can arrange ahead of time to pay the balance through alternative means. Cancellations made after September 4th will be penalized one night's room and tax charges. Individuals arriving "en masse" or off a bus may be subject to $7.20 baggage-handling fee.

(2) Royal Park Hotel

Overview

A short walk from the 96th St subway station, the Royal Park is just a ten-minute subway hop up or downtown to Columbia campus or Times Square; we are excited to offer the hotel as a great option at an extraordinary price. We do have limited availability of these rooms, so we will try out best to hold them for particularly budget-conscious delegations.

Booking Details
Please reserve before August 13th. Credit cards details will be due no later than September 4th, and the first night's room and tax will be deposited on September 14th. Cancel at least 30 days in advance for a full refund or 15 days in advance for 50% of deposit. Delegations interested in rate quoted rooms [as denoted above] should book as soon as possible; while the pricing is guaranteed, room availability is not.

Expectations are generally fairly low for hostels, but reviews indicate that the ISC is relatively popular and livable. Autumn rates start at just $30 per night, including all taxes, so this is a great option for delegations looking to save every cent possible.

Hostels can sell out on popular weekends and autumn is peak season for travel, so we recommend delegations call ahead to book as a group if they are serious about the ISC.

Rates range down to approximately $40/person per night, which is similar to the range on offer at the Royal Park; this is an option for delegations looking to live downtown while staying on budget.

Rooms go fairly quick--especially during the fall peak season--so we recommend all delegations to reach out and reserve rooms as soon as they can.

With quoted rates of about $299, this is a small step up in comfort and quality from the Hotel Pennsylvania, located in the middle of Korea-Town.

The corporate parent, Apple Core Hotels, owns a number of similar good-value properties in midtown that are in this price range.
DoubleTree Chelsea

This is the standard for most four-star hotels in New York, with a quote nightly rate of $389 for a quad-occupancy room with two double beds.

Other hotels in this class and price range might include the Marriot Marquis or Hilton Times Square.
Eventi

For delegations with an outsized budget, New York offers a range of luxury options, including such storied names as The Waldorf and The Plaza hotels. Some of the best rooms can be found, however, in smaller boutiques with unique styles.
