The Culture
A starship of the hedonistic, post-scarcity, anarcho-socialist society known only as the Culture accepts a survey mission in a relatively unexplored portion of the galaxy. What will it find? Delegates will consider the myriad philosophical questions presented by Iain M. Banks’ Culture series, works that played a critical role in reviving space opera from the grave and created Banks’ status as a giant of British science fiction.
