Southern Sudanese Cabinet
Sudan has had a long and often bloody history of cultural conflict caused by tensions which are still present today, in addition to one of the world’s most stagnant and underdeveloped economies. In July 2011, South Sudan formally became an independent state; but has since grappled with socio-economic, political, diplomatic and cultural issues. A year after independence, the South Sudanese Cabinet is in the midst of striving to become a functional, fully independent state, while addressing key social, economic and diplomatic issues that are bound to require fast and effective action.
