National Patriotic Front of Liberia
The Liberian Cabinet will set out to discuss the on-going domestic Civil War in Liberia as well as the impending Civil War in neighboring Sierra Leone. Delegates will play the roles of the Liberian Cabinet members attempting to thwart the efforts of the National Patriotic Front of Liberia (NPFL), led by Charles Taylor, both domestically and regionally. They will tackle everything from military, economic, and political development to strategies to quell rebellion, and will have to deal with grassroots efforts to overturn the government, while simultaneously trying to maintain peace beyond Liberia’s borders; for fear that violence in Sierra Leone will agitate Liberian domestic politics even further. Caught in a precarious battle of wills and power, delegates will try to stay afloat and keep the country together as every force around them tries to tear it apart.
