Meeting of the Chinese Politburo, 2017

As the 25-member political body wielding a major decision-making authority in China, the Politburo meets to determine Chinese policy at the highest level.  Holding high-ranking state positions within the Chinese government while wielding control over significant personnel appointments, the Politburo is a modern committee dealing with the international and domestic politics occurring at the time of the Conference, immersing delegates into the means and challenges of running one of the world’s superpowers. With portfolio powers being limited only by each representative’s respective ambition, the Politburo will contest the international order while assuring the rise of China.
